My services

1:1 in-person or virtual counselling

I am currently accepting new clients for both virtual and in-person counselling services

Areas of Practice

I pride myself on my flexibility, and I’m happy to work a diversity of clients and presenting concerns. That said, some particular areas where I have a lot to offer are: the 2SLGBTQ+ community, trans and gender-nonconforming folks or people questioning their gender identities, young adults, anxiety, depression, BDSM and sex positive communities, polyamorous relationships, sex working communities, parents of queer and trans kids, and folks struggling with self-judgement, perfectionism and chronic shame.

Mindful Self-Compassion Groups and Workshops

I offer virtual Mindful Self-Compassion groups and workshops for the 2SLGBTQ+ community and general population

“The curious paradox of life is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change” - Carl Rogers

Mindful Self-Compassion is a deeply impactful, evidence-based 8-week course designed to teach and embody the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion. Participants learn practical mindfulness, nervous system regulation, embodied inquiry, and values-based meaning-making skills, all integrated in queer theory and culture and held in queer community.

MSC has been shown to reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, combat chronic shame, promote deeper relationships, and contribute to more resilience in the face of life’s challenges. I offer groups open anyone in the 2SLGBTQ+ community, as well as separate ones for the general population.

Fee Structure

My full price sessions are $169.00 for a 1-hour session, and I offer a large percentage of my slots at a sliding scale rate of $118/hr. 1.5 hour and half-hour sessions also available.

Please note that Counselling services provided by a registered social worker in BC can be claimed as a medical expense on income tax, and are exempt from GST. Note also that I am no longer able to accept First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) funding due to recent coverage changes and I do not currently accept ICBC funding.

Third Party Insurance – Please make sure you check with your insurer to ensure their policy covers social work. If not, you can also advocate with your employer to cover social work services in your policy.

I hold limited pay-what-you-can spots which are made available to folks directly impacted by colonial violence who are not covered by FNHA, as well as artists and activists – if you are interested in one of these spots, please reach out!
